The Problem Statement
A multinational medical technology OEM needed a cuffless diagnostic device which is capable of estimating blood pressure in real-time.
The Solution
KritiKal developed a cuffless device along with an ingenious app that can estimate blood pressure by analyzing Photoplethysmogram (PPG) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals, thus efficiently eliminating the need for traditional cuffs. The team trained customized machine learning models by engineering features from publicly available datasets for detecting various categories of blood pressure. The solution was able to demonstrate low error margin during live trials and its effectiveness as a non-invasive monitoring solution. Furthermore, it works as an accurate, cuffless alternative for seamless health monitoring and marks significant advancement in continuous blood pressure assessment of patients suffering with different types of health-related disorders.
